Cookie Policy

This page describes the browser storage mechanisms that currently matter on Reiseathleten. These include both cookies and entries stored in the browser's local storage. Further information on personal-data processing is available in the privacy policy.

1. Purpose of this notice

We use browser storage mechanisms to secure login sessions, retain marketplace attribution data, store consent choices locally, and preserve support or convenience settings in the browser. Not every item is stored as a classic cookie; some values are deliberately stored in local storage.

2. Essential login and security cookies

For account sign-in we use the ra_session cookie. It is used for authentication, is stored as an HttpOnly cookie, and is managed server-side with a runtime of up to 30 days. Without this session cookie, authenticated account areas cannot function.

3. Marketplace attribution cookies

In connection with partner retreats, Reiseathleten may set the following cookies to retain the technical source of a marketplace request and better assess misuse or anti-circumvention issues:

  • ra_partner_visitor: visitor identifier, runtime up to 90 days
  • ra_partner_session: session key for marketplace contexts, runtime up to 30 days
  • ra_partner_click: click or attribution identifier, runtime up to 30 days
  • ra_partner_lead: lead identifier, runtime up to 30 days or until deletion

These cookies are set server-side with SameSite=Lax, path /, and in production with the Secure flag. They are used for technical attribution, fraud and anti-circumvention contexts, and marketplace operations.

At present, the following information may be stored locally in the browser:

  • ra_cookie_consent: stores the local choice made in the cookie banner
  • supportChatConsent: stores whether you consented to the use of the support chat
  • supportSessionId: local session identifier for the support-widget context
  • reiseathleten_user_preferences: local support or convenience settings
  • ra-favorites: locally stored favourites
  • reiseathleten_user_id: local user identifier where available

These local-storage entries are technically not cookies, but they still affect how your browser recognises Reiseathleten and keeps certain settings.

The current cookie banner stores your choice locally under ra_cookie_consent. It links to this page and the privacy policy for further information. If you delete browser data or use another device, the prompt may appear again.

6. How to control browser storage

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings and you can also reset local-storage entries in your browser. Please note that doing so may limit login, support, or marketplace functions.
